Groundbreaking Event for Woodman's Center in Janesville
The Woodman's Center will quickly become Janesville's newest hub that promotes social engagement and fosters community pride, creating a significant impact on economic growth, development, and revitalization.

Are you ready for an event that will go down in Janesville’s history?

Because we're sending out a siren's call to all our dreamers, doers, and game-changers to come and be a part of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Woodman's Sports and Convention Center.

  • Mark Your Calendars: Tuesday, Feb. 20

  • Groundbreaking Ceremony: 1:00 PM

  • Location: The parking lot in front of the former Sears Store at Uptown Janesville

  • Address: 2500 Milton Avenue, Janesville

Attendee parking will be available in the main parking lots near Dick’s Sporting Goods and Kohl’s Department Store.

And since we are asking you to spend your afternoon with us, know that local food trucks will be on-site to feed your appetite.

“Donors and community supporters have been the backbone of this initiative, and it's time to roll out the red carpet to thank YOU,” said Christine Rebout, Friends co-chair and Executive Director of Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “That includes our key supporters Woodman's Markets, Mercyhealth, the Kennedy Family Foundation, JACVB, Uptown Janesville/RockStep Capital, an anonymous $1M donor, and the hundreds of local businesses, families, and individuals who helped the Friends raise over $9.5M in private donations. We are excited to stand by you and celebrate an afternoon brimming with enthusiasm.”

This isn't just any ceremony. It's a heartfelt tribute to the vision and dedication that everyone has poured into making the Woodman’s Center more than just a blueprint.

The Main Event: A Power Hour of Woodman's Center Triumphs
