On November 23, 2022, Woodman’s announced a new $1 million pledge to the proposed indoor sports and convention center. The company bought the naming rights to the building for $2 million in 2019. The 2022 donation only added to the excitement and support for the Woodman's Center, which will call the former Sears building at Uptown Janesville home.
● At 130,000 square feet, Woodman's Sports and Convention Center will be Northern Rock County's most significant gathering space, attracting sports teams, regional and national companies, and organizations for meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
● The center will include a 20,000 square-foot conference space convertible to hardcourt space for youth sports, a multi-use arena that will be ice for a portion of the year and converted to dry space for basketball, volleyball, soccer, or additional conference space.
● A year-round permanent ice arena will house hockey, figure skating, and other on-ice sports and community activities.
